Lester Kaplan

Professor Kaplan has had extensive experience in the administration, management, and evaluation of public policy, housing, and community mental helth programs in the public and non-profit arenas. He is currently Director of the Resident Services Division, Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County, Maryland. He is responsible for the provision of social service programs serving thousands of families. He develops and coordinates service delivery options with federal, state and Montgomery County Departments, and works closely with the Montgomery County Department of Police.
He is a licensed certified clinician, and Diplomat in Clinical Social Work. He has expertise and certification in trauma treatment, anxiety and depression. He provides supervision to clinicians related to Post Traumatic Stress treatment applications. He has taught in graduate schools and universities in New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
