Madagascar's Mysterious Fossa

This is the first National Geographic Virtual Studio video created by AU/SOC student Jasmine Rao to be posted on the National Geographic website and on NG's YouTube Channel. It was published on Friday, April 13th and already has over 11,000 hits! The video was created in Techniques and Aesthetics of Editing, taught by Prof. Tanya Spann-Roche last Fall as part of our soft launch of the NG Virtual Studio partnership.

Bill Gentile in Afghanistan shooting a documentary for PBS NOW

Professor Bill Gentile produced a video piece for Time Magazine, while in Cuba with AU Abroad students, using the same "backpack journalism" methodology that he introduced in SOC in 2007 and that is branded and embodied in the Backpack Journalism Project.
