The GEP program, including the Global Environmental Policy MA and the Dual Degree in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development, welcomes students from a wide range of backgrounds. Incoming students include returned Peace Corps volunteers, environmental professionals, and people whose concern about environmental harm and the challenges of sustainable development has led them to seek a new career focus.  We offer a rigorous yet flexible curriculum to accommodate a wide range of academic and professional interests and goals.

Providing students with the practical tools and academic framework to become participants and leaders in the international environmental field, the GEP program concentrates on sustainable development, environmental ethics, international political economy, international diplomacy, and environmental justice.

The GEP program hosts two Masters degrees, one in Global Environmental Policy, and a dual degree with UN-affiliated University for Peace (Costa Rica) in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development.
