Professional Development for Faculty
A key part of CTRL’s mission is to collaborate with faculty in developing their teaching and research skills. Our cornerstone programs include:
- The annual, day long Ann Ferren Conference on Teaching, Research & Learning
- Noontime Conversations held several times each semester
- The AU Entrée Program for new tenure line and term faculty
- Teaching, Research and Technology workshops at the start of the fall semester
- Technology in the Classroom workshops throughout the academic year
- Consulting in quantitative and qualitative research methods software applications
- User support for high performance computer cluster
- Training for faculty teaching online and hybrid courses
- Orientations for new Tenure line, term, and adjunct faculty
Pedagogical Consultations
Faculty who are looking to improve their instructional strategies, brainstorm ways to interact with and/or support students or evaluate their course syllabus, goals and student learning outcomes are invited to request an individual consultation.
