Teaching with Research Award
This award is designed to highlight exemplary faculty instructional practices involving individual students or groups of students in conducting original research as part of the classroom experience. An exemplary nomination would be one which includes evidence that students have presented a summary of findings at a research conference for undergraduate students or graduate students, or to a professional society/interest group.
Teaching Enhancement and Ideas Incubator Programs
Last Fall, the Center for Teaching, Research & Learning established two new teaching initiatives open to all AU faculty. The Teaching Enhancement Program reimburses expenditures up to $75 that improve student learning in the context of a single course. The Ideas Incubator Program offers awards of up to $500 for projects leading to classroom innovation that reshape teaching strategies (i.e., beyond a single course).
The Milton and Sonia Greenberg Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award
This award recognizes and promotes the systematic analysis of the practice of teaching and the application of research-based approaches to instruction and curricular design. The award will be made to an individual or team of faculty who have made a significant contribution to the scholarship of teaching and learning.
