Best Practice Plans
American University is proud of the high quality learning outcomes and assessment plans developed by faculty. Many of our programs have made considerable progress on implementing an effective assessment program.
The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment tracks 12 indicators of ‘best practices’ in learning outcomes and assessment. Many of our programs are examples of each of these indicators. This webpage provides one example for each of the 12 indicators.
It is AU’s policy to not publish results of assessment from individual departments, therefore some of the links will require a password. For more information, or if you would like your plan added as an example, please contact Karen Froslid Jones.
1. Created an assessment plan that includes: learning outcomes, assessment measures, and targets.
