Maralee Csellar

• Associate Director Maralee Csellar serves as the communications liaison to AU's President, Provost, and Vice Presidents, and oversees press and news media activity for these cabinet level offices. Csellar joined AU's Media Relations staff in 1999. For more than eight years, she was responsible for news and press relations for American University's School of Communication, School of Public Affairs, and College of Arts & Sciences. In 2005, she oversaw the media outreach surrounding the grand opening of the University's Katzen Arts Center. Recently, Csellar was the project manager for AU's “Virtual Campus Experience,” the cornerstone of the university's new Web site launched in March 2009. Prior to AU, she spent four years in the marketing department at C-SPAN.
