The fee to attend January Orientation is $65.00 per participant (students and family members). Students are advised to bring additional spending money for off-campus dining and other activities. The $65.00 fee covers two lunches, one breakfast, program materials, and activities.
You will need to register for January Orientation using the below two steps beginning Monday, November 21st.
Step 1 -- Activate your myau.american.edu Portal Account
- Visit www.myau.american.edu and then look at the bottom of the login screen and click on “Create Your Account.”

Step 2 -- Register for Orientation
- Using your newly activated username and password, login to the www.myau.american.edu portal.
- Click on the “Life @ AU” tab at the top of the page, just under the top search bar. From the list that drops down, click on “New Students”.
- Next, you’ll see a link called New Student Checklist. By using the New Student First Year Check List, you will see your own personalized information and will be able to complete tasks directly through the portal such as registering for January Orientation.
