Welcome to American University! New Student Programs staff members are here to make sure that you start your AU experience off right. We want you to feel comfortable and informed as you begin classes and start to explore your new home: Washington, DC.

In order to do this, we have developed orientation programs for first-year students, transfer students, and family members. Our staff is also responsible for Welcome Week, held in late August and January, and All-American Weekend in October.
