Student Activities Organization Recognition Criteria
Organizations are recognized by Student Activities on a rolling basis over the course of the academic year. Each fall semester, all student organizations must re-submit their recognition materials so Student Activities can ensure that our records are as up-to-date as possible. The information below will assist your organization in becoming preliminarily recognized; the full recognition criteria are available to the right.
New Organizations
- Attend New Organization Recognition workshop
- Submit online recognition application through SON (that includes constitution/by-laws)
- Find a full-time faculty/staff advisor to work with your organization and submit a signed faculty/staff advisor agreement form to Student Activities
Pre-Existing Organizations
- Review last year’s recognition application on SON and update all relevant information
- Submit a signed faculty/staff advisor agreement form to Student Activities
