Student Activities sponsors many events throughout the year including Welcome Week evening activities, Experience DC, Student Involvement Fairs, Club Recognition Workshops, Student Leadership Receptions, Leadership Connections workshops and co-sponsored events for the graduating classes Senior week and AU After Dark Initiatives.
Student Organizations sponsor over 2,000 individual events that include concerts, conferences, lectures/speakers, general meetings, movies, receptions, special events and workshops.
Student Activities staff continues to be a resource to many offices and departments on campus including Alumni Programs, Special Events, Housing and Dining Programs, Kay Spiritual Life Center, Washington College of Law Student Activities staff, Washington Semester program staff, SPA Leadership program, Kogod Student Activities staff, Athletics and Greek Life.
As a staff we engage in ongoing consultations on policy, procedures and best practices that include program planning, event logistics, financial processes, contracts, media publications, design and marketing ideas, risk management concerns and conference planning/hosting.
