About the Program
Although it's the second smallest nation in the world, Monaco provides a truly metropolitan and diverse experience. Students participating in this program will be directly enrolled for a semester or academic year at the International University of Monaco, a culturally diverse campus located in the heart of Monte Carlo. IUM students hail from over 40 nations, with no single country representing more than 25% of the student population. The school epitomizes high academic standards while creating a personal, individualized experience for both full-time and exchange students. Its intimate setting and small class sizes make IUM a place where everyone knows your name, in any language. Additional information for students interested in this program can be found on the IUM Incoming Exchange Student website (under the "Study Abroad/Exchange Students" tab), the IUM Study Abroad Overview, and the IUM Student Guide.
Interested students should note that IUM is an academically rigorous program which requires a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Students can live in apartments in Monaco or just over the border in France. Students often live in vacation properties which include utilities, furnishings, Internet connection, etc. Estimated cost for accommodations is approximately 1,000 Euros per month for a single apartment; IUM also provides roommate listings for interested students. The housing process commences upon acceptance into the program.
Passport & Visa
Students are solely responsible for obtaining a passport and any visas or other immigration documents required for study in Monaco, including any related fees. The Kogod Office of Global Learning Programs will support students in this endeavor with any required letters from the school. Students should visit the Monaco Embassy website as well as the Embassy website for their home country to validate entry and exit requirements. Details for US citizens regarding these requirements and other pertinent information can be found on the US State Department website. Once in Monaco, students will also need to obtain a Resident Permit with support from IUM.
