H. Kent Baker

- Professor Baker teaches finance and served as Chair of the Department of Finance and Real Estate for 11 years. He also has extensive industry experience and has provided consulting and training services to more than 100 organizations. Baker has authored or edited eight books including Dividends and Dividend Policy, Understanding Financial Management: A Practical Guide, Business Fundamentals, Financial Management, and Financial Markets: Instruments and Concepts. Forthcoming books include Survey Research in Corporate Finance, Behavioral Finance, and Corporate Governance. He has published more than 200 articles that have appeared in such outlets as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Portfolio Management, and Harvard Business Review. He is currently at work on the forthcoming books Survey Research in Corporate Finance, Behavioral Finance and Corporate Governance. Outside of the academic realm, he is a professional musician, who has toured and recorded.
