  • Professor Jacobs teaches courses in sustainability and global corporate citizenship. He joined Kogod following a distinguished career in the federal government. As an award-winning Trial Attorney at the Justice Department, he was lead counsel in high-profile environmental and civil rights cases. As a Senior Negotiator and Office Director in the State Department's Economic, Energy, and Business Bureau, he led major initiatives to promote and protect American business interests abroad. While serving in the State Department's Office of the Legal Adviser, he won an award for his work in international arbitration. He has taught at George Washington University, Middlebury College, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He began his professional career as a law clerk to a U.S. Court of Appeals judge.
