Greenberg Theatre

Every year, hundreds of students take part in AU’s dance, music, and theatre programs. They stage 10 major productions annually and numerous smaller productions, including performances by 11 student ensembles.

For decades, thousands of people from the university and the Washington area have watched these productions while sitting on folding chairs crowded together in a converted lecture hall.

The Greenberg Theatre, which opened in March 2003 with a donation from Harold and Sylvia Greenberg and other benefactors, gives the performing arts students, faculty, and audience a stunning 300-seat theatre with spacious dressing rooms and production areas.
