Liability Waivers

When a faculty, staff, student, or non-AU individual voluntarily participates in an activity outside their normal class or duties, a waiver of liability may be required.  Examples of the kind of activities that may require a waiver include: participating in sports clubs or camps, volunteering on behalf of the University, visiting elementary or high schools, attending out-of-town lectures, or hosting classes on campus for non-AU students.  Through waivers, participants are informed of the particular risks involved with the event, and are reminded to abide by University rules while taking part in the activity.
