Aladin Mobile provides students and faculty with the capability to access certain library resources on the go, from their phones.  An effort by the Washington Research Library Consortium, of which American University is a part, Aladin Mobile allows users to search the catalog, view hours, contact information, and locations, and check your account status. Users can also request materials from the consortium through Aladin Mobile with just the press of a button.

Aladin Mobile is accessed with a web browser and is formatted to function optimally on smart phones.  Once a user logs in, the site personalizes, providing specific information for AU.  A user can browse his or her fine status, hold items, and due dates, and also search the AU Library catalog as well as those of the other consortium schools.  Users can also create personalized text notifications for the account.
