Alumni Authors Back on Campus
Alumni authors R. Sam Garrett, SPA/BA '00, SPA/MA '03, SPA/PhD '05, and Saltanat Liebert, SPA/PhD '07, pose with their books at a recent alumni author event hosted by the School of Public Affairs.
American University alumni write, edit, and publish impressive works all over the world. The new Alumni Book Club Series, launched in September 2010, honors their accomplishments by welcoming them back to campus, and engages the entire university community in fun, creative, and informative events that are shared both by local attendees at AU, and regionally and internationally as well.
Each event features a special reception with the author, followed by a talk open to the university community. Alumni from all over the country, and the world, can participate by reading the book, and are welcome to submit questions for guest authors online prior to the event that may be addressed during the program.
Hosted by Ann Kerwin, CAS/BA ’71, this series offers a diverse schedule of alumni authors and their works:
