Young Alumni Chapter

Any AU alumnus/a who has graduated in the last 10 years and lives in the D.C. metro area is welcome to join the Young Alumni Chapter. The Young Alumni Chapter sponsors social, cultural and professional events and works with other alumni groups to create meaningful programs to enrich the lives of young alumni in the D.C. area. The alumni chapter is also an active member of the Capital Alumni Network.

Interested in applying for the Washington, D.C. Young Alumni Chapter Board?

Simply fill out the following YAC Board application. Once it's complete, e-mail it to the Office of Alumni Relations by clicking "File" --> "Attach to Email" --> "involved@american.edu". You can also print it out and mail it to: Office of Alumni Relations, 4400 Massachusetts Avenue N.W., Washington, DC 20016. You will receive a confirmation e–mail stating that your application has been received.

There are a limited number of Young Alumni Chapter board positions that are filled on a rolling basis as vacancies arise. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
